Doctor in veterinary medicine from the University of Bern, Marc Vingerhoets is also the Founder and Director of the Cabinet Vétérinaire des Bergières created in 1997, which became Vétérinaire des Plaines-du-Loup in 2021.

Dr Vingerhoets first trained at the university during a residency in Bern, and further developed his knowledge and skills for pet medicine and surgery through an internship at the University of Pennsylvania in the USA. Before embarking on the adventure of professional independence, he acquired a strong knowledge of business management by completing an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the Faculté des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Lausanne.

Rich in these different experiences and diplomas, Dr Vingerhoets then specialized, through numerous courses, in particular in orthopedic surgery, mini invasive surgery and all endoscopy (arthroscopy, laparoscopy, rhinoscopy, gastroscopy, etc.).

 Many patients are referred to him daily by various colleagues.

Mélanie Lacombe            Drapeau Langue Française Drapeau Langue Anglaise

Doctor in veterinary medicine from the Veterinary University of Liège, Mélanie Lacombe has been working with the Vétérinaire des Plaines-du-Loup since 2009.

Doctor Lacombe specialized in surgery and medicine of domestic carnivores during an internship at the National Veterinary School of Lyon. She then completed a Certificate of Superior Studies (CES) in traumatology and osteo-articular surgery. Also having trained at the IMAOV in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Dr Lacombe will be able to provide you with the best support, including advice on complementary medicine.

Dr Lacombe, a passionate personality, is a member of numerous institutions for animals, such as ASA (Aide Senior Animaux) or Erminea (for wildlife) of which she is a founding member. She particularly appreciates to take care of these special animals that are wild animals or even exotic pets.

Coming to strengthen the team at Vétérinaire des Plaines-du-Loup in 2018, Doctor Hugo Houvenagel studied in Belgium in Namur and then in Liège.

Doctor Houvenagel deepened his knowledge in various training courses, as well as in veterinary practices in France and the Reunion Island, including an internship at the NORDVET referral center in Lille.  Very invested, Dr Houvenagel acquired his Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Studies (CEAV) in internal medicine.

 A sportsman at heart, Dr Houvenagel will endure patient problems.

Doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Bern, Florence Künzle has been practicing veterinary chiropractic at the Vétérinaires des Plaines-du-Loup since 2011.

Following her studies, Dr Künzle did a residency at the Veterinary University in Bern. She later on trained in veterinary chiropractic at the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) and passed the exams of this school as well as those of the International Association of Veterinary Chiropractic (IVCA) of which she is a member of the  continuing education committee. Doctor Künzle practices her specialization in companion animals and horses.

In order to best serve customers, Florence Künzle is also trained as a marketing specialist from the SAWI school.

Our accredited assistants and apprentices take it in turns to welcome and advise you.

They assist the vets during further examinations and ensure the care and comfort of inpatients.

In 2019 Silvia Malherbe started a pre-apprenticeship with the Vétérinaire des Plaines-du-Loup, and followed with her apprenticeship as a veterinary nurse.

Silvia Malherbe quickly learns her profession in our team.  She knows how to take responsibility, is responsive and a personality you can count on, and all this while keeping a smile.

Since August 2020, Manon Bex has been apprenticing with the Vétérinaire des Plaines-du-Loup.  Super motivated, always ready to lend a hand everywhere, Manon Bex is progressing very quickly, to the happiness of the whole team.
